The Apalachicola Reserve has a drainage basin of almost 20,000 square miles.
Ninety percent of Florida oysters come from Apalachicola with over
10,000 acres of tended beds. The Apalachicola River is the largest river
by flow in Florida and with its bay, it is home to 180 species of fish.
The beauty and serenity of Apalachicola is legendary as I have visited
and fished the waters for 46 years. Our home is in a quiet area of the Apalachicola River
near a full service marina. It comes with all the amenities to make your stay
as comfortable as possible. Whether it is a quiet secluded weekend with a
book and a warm fire in the fireplace or an adventurous fishing trip on the
pristine waters of Apalachicola Bay, you will find everything you need for
an enjoyable stay. When you're not busy reeling
in the fish you may enjoy visiting one of the areas beautiful beaches,
quaint antique shops, or fine restaurants. There is no shortage of
enjoyable activities in Apalachicola year round. Bird watchers will
delight in the many species of bird sighted in the nearby Apalachicola
National Forest. We will help you with
anything you need or anything you need to know. Just ask.
